Save-the-Date

Hello Everyone!  I want to thank you all for your excellent, honest and helpful feedback.  It helped me focus my initial instincts and learn how an event like this could be something worthwhile for all of us. Here is a short sum of what I received:

1. Most people said they were interested.

2. Most thought they'd attend once a month or once every three months.

3. Most listed they would join a group like this for networking, holding yourself accountable to a personal project, presenting ideas/work and receiving feedback, and because they are 'not sure, let's see what happens'.

4. Most noticed I skipped over number four.

5. Most suggested a later date.

6. All that were interested said they would donate for the room.  

7. All that were interested said they would bring a guest.

8. All gave me EXCELLENT feedback and many gave additional suggestions.

As I mentioned, this survey was sent to a select group of people I have worked with or who I thought might be interested in my idea.   Thank you for your time and all of your thoughtful responses.  I will take time to get back to many of you individually to explore your suggestions.

My goal is to have one initial event that has a collaborative atmosphere and is beneficial to people who consider themselves creative.  I want everyone to want to be there and feel like, at the very least, they had a good time.  In short, A PARTY FOR CREATORS.  I'll ask for written feedback at and after the party to see how we want to proceed.

Collective Conference

A Party for Creators

Over the years, I have met, worked with and captured email addresses of a varied and extremely talented number of people.  I'm sure you have too.  I have often fantasized about what could be accomplished if I could simply get all of these people together into one room.  I'm going to try.  Why?   We might be able to help each other with our individual projects or focus on specific efforts, we might save the world or we might simply enjoy each other's casual company.
